This is my jam.
This is the kind of day today was. A jam in the cabinet, how long has this shower been running, I wanted to have my work done by 9am but didn’t finish until 2:30, my baby turned into an octopus, seriously who even turned that shower on kind of day.
I didn’t want to leave you hanging, though, and I definitely wasn’t going to crap out on NaBloPoMo so early, shocking no one at all, so I wanted to give you a quick tutorial on this fun snack you can make with your kids using ingredients you probably have in your fridge right now.
Actually, it’s not really a tutorial because I’m not a great photographer and honestly didn’t think to take pictures of the process at the time, but once it was done, I knew I definitely wanted to share and that you guys would get a real kick out of doing this with your kids, too. It’s not too hard, so I think if you look closely at the picture, you can probably free hand it.
What you’ll need is a tortilla – I just use small ones, but bigger kids with a bigger appetite might like the larger ones. That’s the base. Then some jelly or jam, whatever flavor. And lastly, string cheese! Properly stringed, of course. Little ones can help with that!
Anyway, here’s the fun snack I made for Penelope today, hope you can put this super great awesome not at all emotionally harmful idea into play with your children sometime soon!
