It never ends.

November 19th, 2007 | by TJ |

Yesterday, I was playing my lowbie priest alt, who has been through a lot, and enjoying the insanely fast leveling that’s been available since the patch.

I was grumbling to myself (and Fio, on vent) about leveling holy, and took a quick peek at my gear… and was instantly ashamed of myself. My little priest got played a lot on my original server pre-BC, but stalled at level 40 when the expansion came out. I moved him to a new server to check out to see if I liked it there, and got him to 41, and promptly forgot about him again for a long time. I finally moved him over to be with AC a few months ago, but he’s been around for a long time with long gaps between playing sessions. That’s no excuse, however, for the fact that all the gear on him ranged from level 18 to level 26.

I got my butt to the auction house right quick, and was talking to Fio about gear possibilities, and he made me up a couple of pieces of the Dreamweave set.

After putting it all on, I say to Fio over vent,

“Gah! I look like a rodeo clown.”

Silence from Fio, for a beat, and then,

“That’s bull.”

You should get liquored up and go to Scarlet Monetary and get your new hat from the cathedral.

It’s not the amount of clown in the outfit, it’s the amount of priest in the clown that matters.

You know, that made sense when it was still just in me head. Wish I could remember why …

I second the hat idea. Doesn’t BRK not like it? You totally should get it. TOTALLY.

I just 2manned the Cathedral last night with a buddy. I had a 44 Belf Prot Pally and my buddy was a 44 Tauren Warrior. He walked away with a new 2h mace as big as my belf. I walked away with a rather stylish red cloth hat.

If I can do it, so can your priest. Go for it.

    You MUST get the hat!!

Not only will you get BRK annoyance points, but also you will complete your clown outfit and gain world domination!!

    I promise….

LOL, I will eventually care what my character looks like, but right now its all about levels and the gear to survive. At low levels its not that important IMO.

I’m with P&C… I used to think that I leveled out of range of items way too fast, never getting to fully enjoy the power of said items and now with the advent of 2.3 I don’t see any use to having to have certain items unless you see it when are at that level or twinking.

My level 70 priest kept his Sky Witch hat and wore it at Hallows End, it was funny… too bad I didn’t get the ‘broom’ to ride on as well, that’d been teh awesome!!! ;-)

I laughed. Out loud. Gawd I love puns. (Ego…we haven’t see a Friday pun in ages!)

…idly wonders if AC could use another blogger…just so I could listen to Vent.

I am thinking the same thing. LOL

Mass enjoyment just from the random commentary.

Egads, that was a dark period in Ego’s history. We do not speak of the punishment.

(In truth, I ran out of ‘ego’ puns that weren’t stretching the already strained borders of acceptably awful puns. That, and I didn’t think anyone would notice they were gone, save to give a sigh of relief. ;) )
