Did you guys really mean it?
December 14th, 2007 | by TJ |TJ: so it is just shadow priests you are going for?
No more locks?
Fio: Nope
to your first question
TJ: moar dots moar dots
Fio: we’re looking for probably 2-3 priests, 1-2 locks, 1-2 mages. Maybe a ret pally
And another tree druid
TJ: what I heard
“We’re looking for blah blah WARLOCKS blah some not locks, maybe a not lock And another not as good as a lock.”
Fio: Sorry, what I meant to say
we’re looking for 2-3 of a class that takes skill to play, 1-2 EZ MODE FACESMASHKEYBOARD MONKEYS, 1-2 of another class that requires skill, and maybe 1 of a class that sucks no matter how much skill you have.
TJ: What I heard
“TJ, I no longer have the will to live, and will make it easy for you to kill me. Please be swift and merciful.”
“PS – Druids suck”
Here is my new question
How can you do test runs when recruiting off-server?
Fio: If someone wants to apply from off-server, they’re going to have to take the plunge. We’ll look at their gear first and do an interview before we ask them to move servers, but ultimately if it doesn’t work out, that’s the risk they’re going to have to take
TJ: oooooh
what would be funny
is if like, the blog posts get lots of responses
and Drenden ends up with a guild called <I Transferred to be in AC and All I Got Was This Lousy Consolation Guild>
Fio: Hahahahaha
TJ: Or
more concise
<I Want My TwentyFive Bucks Back>
<Visiting For Three Months>
The More Official Details (as sanctioned by AC)
Aetherial Circle (Drenden Alliance) is looking for ten more people to flesh out our 25-man raiding team. We will be taking applications for through the end of 2007 and contacting people in January for interviews.
AC has started Serpentshrine Cavern – Lurker down, starting Hydross – and is no longer dedicated to raiding Karazhan. Applicants must be in Tier 4 and Gruul-level gear and able to perform at that level. AC will not gear-up anyone to start raiding SSC; they must be ready on the day they join.

OOOO OOOO I’m a lock! take me take me!
I’m level 28 so I’m exactly what you need!
You can even pay me to switch servers ;P
A. Zujoo on some server over there—> you can look me up while at work!
B. I wear cloth and HATS. Also have stick to hit people with.
C. I’m green, and look like an orc moses or an orc grandmother, depending on whether or not I have a shawl. I have PLENTY of RAID(tm) experiance after 3 years in Panama and 3 in Houston. DIE ROACHES DIE. I want to join AC so I can stare in awe at Hobbes, envy BRK, adore Fio, annoy TJ, and be mocked by Doom!
DKP and SWAPS are great! I’m sure they mean something but you can always explain that once I’m in the guild.
I don’t need a trial membership as I’m obviously awesome because I’m an ORC!

Sorry about the Gruul-level gear min, but we’re just not doing Kara anymore, except as a once in a while thing for badges – nothing scheduled. We can’t promise to gear someone through Kara, which means they wouldn’t be able to participate, which means they probably wouldn’t be happy in the guild anyway. :(

I’m in 4/5 t4.. i’ve done gruuls, part of ZA, Lurker, attempted others and Loot Reaver and attempted others.
Resto druid. Best on my server. (really.. i konw my class.. just like BRK knows his). I actually want to progress though.. Are you one of those guilds that talks alot about progressing.. or are you a guild that doesn’t talk about it and just gets it done?

@Sephran: I don’t write too much about our progression myself, but if you check out Fio, Cay, Doom, etc, their blogs, from the sidebar on the right, you can definitely see that we’ve been pushing forward. They all keep a pretty good documentation about what we’ve got going on, while I just write about my hair and stuff.
Obviously we’re not a Black Temple guild, the point in progression that we’re at is listed in the post, but we’re moving. If you’re interested in coming over, definitely send an email to the officers at that address – you’ll get to talk to them and they’ll get to talk to you before you even have to think about moving. Definitely, if you’re interested at all, send an email in, no commitment necessary.

seph, you sound like exactly what we are looking for, gear and experience-wise. could you send an email to the address listed in the post? that is, if you are really interested.
as for your question…back in august when I joined AC…we were just starting to get serious about kara. now we are in SSC and 10th on our server in progression. good enough? :)

I totally think I would love your guild, but 1) you don’t need hunters 2) my other toons are too low level, and 3) I love my server too much.
Good luck though! I almost want to roll an alt just to be able to play the game with you sometime!

You’d better have at least ONE slot for a devilishly cute fury warrior that pumps out mad deeps. /hopes
Actually, my deeps is shit. I get about 500+ sustained self-buffed, but I’m in quested/crafted crap as I can’t run instances because I PLAY FROM IRAQ. Sympathy invite, gogo!!!
For some reason, it seems that if you can’t instance, or raid, or pvp, it’s like no one wants you in their guild. Elitist jerks.
/singletear
Be strong! Don’t let them see you cry!!

Quite a few classes can skip gearing up through Karazhan/Tier 4 due to the new badge rewards, and some crafted epics.
Mages, for example, can pump out some extremely nice tailored epics that will last them well through Tier 5 content, and right into Tier 6.
And hey. The new Badge rewards make even Tier 4 gear obsolete.
No problems gearing up in todays world.

/sad that AC are alliance; maybe one day I will make an alliance toon and join you guys for some WoTLK raiding, hehe.
/agree with Euripedes. ‘Locks/Mages/Shadow Priests can skip right to gears from 2/5 of SSC and 2/4 of TK since the crafted gears pumps out better dps then T4/T5… only sad part is when you get to BT/MH ‘Locks and Mages are out dps by melee dps since they get better scaling from gears as well as the encounters mechanic favor melee over caster.
