GTFO of my house.

August 16th, 2010 | by TJ |

I licked them all myself.

I know you’re going to suggest a dampened sponge, and I’m not going to kill you for that, because how would you even begin to suspect that I have issues with paper that extend to and completely and totally include touching paper with any kind of other object, rubbing paper, or, most especially, damp paper? In short, sponge + paper would most certainly lead to my untimely death, which would be ironic, because I would probably be attempting to avoid a wedding invitation envelope-related untimely death, a la Susan from Seinfeld.

ANYway. Done and done.

I *always* ended up with more water on the envelope than in the sponge-stick-sealer thingy.

    Glue stick, dude. Glue stick.

I’m totally camping outside your sister’s house and acting creepy, now that I know her address.

But seriously, the labels look awesome, can’t wait to get mine!

My coworker has this little dish with a roller thing on it. She keeps enough water in the dish to keep the bottom of the roller wet. Then she wets envelopes by sliding the flap over the roller. I hate that thing. It always gets the envelope too wet. Same with sponges. Glue sticks are the way to go. You may get glue on the table or your hands, but it washes off easily.

That completed task most certainly deserves a fabulous reward. Because seriously? That many invites with all of the separate pieces that must be in an exact order…gives me hives just thinking about it.

This was Tim’s job. He knew better than to complain about it since I did everything else wedding planning related.

    Gratz on finishing them!

I have a fear (it’s not a phobia, it really could happen) of getting a paper cut on my tongue from licking envelopes.
