Placeholder story.
November 10th, 2007 | by TJ |Ok, so I was going to continue the 9:30 Club boy story today, but I got a short notice call to babysit tonight, and I actually enjoy it so much that I’m totally willing to set aside all my plans and finish watching Shrek later.
I mean, finish doing big important and confidential TJ things later.
But anyway, I’m not sure if I’m going to be back before midnight or not, and I don’t have the time to write up another installment of my story, so here’s a quick placeholder story.
Remember when I told you about how the guys from Deadliest Catch were going to be in town, and my sister and cousin were coming down to hang out with me for the weekend and we were going to go see them and all?
Well, my cousin and sister got here on a Friday, and I had gotten us a hotel room so as not to spring 3 loud women on my unsuspecting roommate. We grabbed some dinner and got ourselves all together, because since we’re rarely all in the same state, we were gonna go out and have some drinks and whatever.
So anyway, we go out from the hotel, park the car in lovely downtown Frederick, Maryland and set off in search of an ATM for cousin and a bar, for my belly. Finding both, my cousin quickly ducked in to a bank vestibule to make her transaction while sister Kate and I leaned against the wall outside waiting for her.
Kate and I were facing each other, and coming down the street behind her was an old man, wearing grungy clothes and wobbling a bit as he walked. I assumed he was drunk, a drunk, a bum, a drunk bum, whatever, you kind of get used to seeing that kind of thing in the DC area so I didn’t make much of it, until he swerved all the way across the rather wide sidewalk and was heading right for Kate.
I watched him, wondering if he was going to crash into her or what, and just as I was about to give Kate the heads up that something dirty was about to knock her over, he gets just alongside her, doesn’t run into her, but DOES reach a hand out
casually grab her ass
and continue on walking like nothing happened.
Kate stood there in shock, jaw dropped, and I looked at her and said “Did he just…”
“Yeah,” she said. “He did!”
And you’d think there’d be more to that story, but there’s not, and I like it the way it is.
OH.
And Mana Battery was talking about WoW Videos the other day… check this out. Been my favorite for a long time, even though more technically impressive stuff has been done since, it was, at the time, the most awesome thing I’d ever seen. And I don’t even like the song.

Quite touching. Brought a tear to my eye (well almost). And I can see your taste in music and mine clash a great deal as I find the song very enjoyable (I know, must be something wrong with me to disagree with milady; faulty dna perhaps).Nite now. Zeb

Stupid work filter… I’ll catch the vid later.
Do drunk bums always get away with that sort of thing? Cause if so, I am TOTALLY in the wrong career.

I’ve seen that vid before, liked it then, still like it XD
Though am I a total geek, and keep thinking “Huh, must have been a bitch to time the end of the duel to coincide with the lock dying. Wonder what mob they pulled up to finish him off…”
Oo

I remember seeing that video ages ago, I was impressed too. I really love how people take a computer game and make all these creative things out of it that go so far beyond merely playing it.
