If you are in any way ambiguous about whether or not you want to see a guy again, he's going to push that as far as it can possibly go. You gave him your number, assuming he'd call whenever, if at all, and you'd say "no, not right now" once or twice and he'd take a hint. Guys as annoying as he is don't get anywhere without being persistant, so that's exactly what you can expect if you give him the slightest nod of interest.
