OMG, I did not know that someone else had to suffer through life with a dog with pica, ours has done the razors also amazing, hung new drywall during a remodel and she pealed the painted surface off be fore we could get the trim up, did not eat the dry wall but the paper is down to the drywall. Sheets, dog beds, comforters, pillows her favorite is polly fill. And she has Chew toys people I buy her new ones every couple weeks because she eats them, you know the Kong brand eats them like they are a candy treat. She gets good food, and the exercise well that may be a little on the lacking side right now since it is butt ass cold in Michigan right now, but this all started up when she was a year an a half.
She is back in her crate at night and during the day when we are not home, as she can get into just as much trouble when we are there let alone with out parents home.

Toilet paper. Blanket. Leg of chair. Bath mats (four). Carpet. Snatched from table - Pizza including part of box. Snatched from table - gourmet chocolates including box, requiring late night trip to 24-hour animal hospital.

Love our dogs, have come to accept they are walking garburaters with no sense of cause and effect... ooh, I hate that.

Have you thought about his teeth lately? most of the things he is eating would likely smell/taste good, but he may also be eating things because of a tooth problem (kind of like a puppy teething) and since there was a whole three years of non-destructive stuff happening then it could be that he is trying to tell you something about his teeth.

I don't currently have a dog (but love them and grew up with them), but our cat has chewed up my office chair, including the duct tape we put on it to fix it. He also chews on our fake Christmas tree. Guess what? Two days ago we bought some bitter spray from Walmart that is supposed to repel pets from chewing on things. We figured, worse case, he wouldn't notice it. Not only did he notice it, he LIKES it. Stupid cat. I swear he lacks a brain. I tasted that stuff and OMG it's disgusting!

I know this isn't too helpful, but I just thought I'd share my stupid pet story of the day.

Hmm, is your dog getting enough exercise? (20 minutes vigorous walk per day minimum, better if he gets a jog or rollerblade session)

Chewing is an act of frustration, he is either bored or underexercised IMO. Of course I'm no expert or anything so... might be completely wrong here. Cough.

Our dog dines at the all-you-can-eat kitty litter buffet. And then he'll look at us like, "What? What did I do?" while he has litter pebbles stuck in his jowls. He's the most vile creature I've ever known. He also loves plastic and will eat all of my children's Little People, Polly Pockets, and Littlest Pet Shop toys. Cesar Milan would need to take up residence here to fix these behaviors.

Can't wait to hear about the dinner. It will distract me from our cats who keep throwing up on and peeing on the carpet.

The whole thing about Hill Science Diet being crap is... well... crap. A whole bunch of people on teh interwebs got their knickers in a tangle and are doing the big hating on the large corporation - they've gathered a large following too, gotta love mob mentality.

Anyway, I suggest chew toys (not old slippers, proper dog ones), and if Brinkley has a back yard, some cannon bones.

My mother's dog loves to chew hose fittings (not to mention the hose). Swapping from plastic to brass fittings has definitely helped there. Perhaps you could do the same for your underwear ;)

My daughter's chihuahua just started doing the underwear thing with her. It started because she started dating someone. I think he is marking his territory or jealous or something. She makes sure no skivvies on the floor and no socks(he has a sock fetish too.)
