Credit goes to Phil for shirt ownership.
Credit goes to me for shirt stealership, shirt claimership, and shirt classless enough to actually wear it-ship.

This post led me on a google-chase to remember this: http://tecnicalia.com/imagenes/w7.xataka.com/images/2008/04/powerpad.jpg
and this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Track_%26_Field_%28arcade_game%29 but the NES version. I love that game so much.

The people in the dorm above us had that game when I was in college, and liked to play it very late into the night…*sigh*

I grew up playing NES in Australia and when the carts didn’t work we knew we had to blow in them. When I moved to the U.S. I discovered the Kids in America knew they had to blow in the NES carts to get them to work, too.
How did we all know that?
No, it wasn’t something we saw on TV and it wasn’t on Gamefaqs or the internet (which existed purely in BBS and MOO form).
Somehow kids the world over just knew that you blew on an NES cart’s contacts to get it working again.
